We Must 'Bring Weapons and Put an End to This'

An unidentified protester expressed strong sentiments regarding a recent shooting incident connected to ICE outside the Whipple Building facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. “We have to show up with guns and end this,” the protester stated in an interview.

This protester accused ICE of randomly shooting individuals, declaring, “We have to come out with guns.” He insisted, “We have to do it. I don’t care if you don’t have a Minnesota carry permit. I’m unarmed right now, but this is the last time I’m going to confront them unarmed.”

Emphasizing urgency, he added, “The time for peace is over. They fired the first shot. It’s time to end this situation by any means necessary.” Another protester echoed these intense sentiments, stating, “We are there, we are there. This is a dark place, dark times. People are being sent to concentration camps in El Salvador while others are being raided for oil… We can’t vote our way out of this. We can’t wait until November; we need to go to the bullet box.”

The situation escalated following an incident where an ICE officer shot and killed a left-wing activist named Renee Goode, who reportedly drove his SUV aggressively toward the officer.

In response to these events, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem warned that any threats against ICE personnel would lead to arrest and prosecution, stating, “If we believe you could harm an individual, whether it’s a U.S. citizen or a law enforcement officer, we will seek you out and bring you to justice.”
