Renee Nicole Good linked to a violent extremist group?

Renee Nicole Good, who was shot and killed by an ICE officer while driving, apparently had connections to more than just violent extremist groups.

Ms. Good was known as a passionate anti-ICE activist and a mother of three. She enrolled her 6-year-old son in a charter school that emphasizes social justice, claiming it as a top priority and making political and social engagement central to its curriculum.

It seems that her first encounter with Minnesota’s ICE Watch likely happened at this charter school, according to Ryan Mauro, a counterterrorism expert.

“They were quite open about their extremist views, making them relatively straightforward to investigate. It became clear that their motives extended beyond illegal immigration or advocating for undocumented individuals, aiming instead to protect people from abusive law enforcement tactics,” Mauro relayed during a discussion on Blaze Media.

“They’re engaging in acts like targeting Americans and setting police vehicles ablaze. A simple search of their social media reveals guides on how to free individuals, such as opening police car doors and physically confronting law enforcement,” Mauro commented.

He added that these groups don’t regard the United States as a legitimate nation, with some posts referring to it as Turtle Island.

In a lighter moment, Glenn joked, “So they’re Turtle Island folks.”

“Turtle Island—I’m not entirely sure how credible that claim is—but there’s a considerable presence of anarchists and communists who argue that all of North and Central America should be referred to as Turtle Island, just as they call Israel Palestine to align with what they believe indigenous peoples, particularly Native Americans, would advocate for,” Mauro explained.

“I haven’t seen a lot of evidence supporting this view, but they use it to indirectly call for the dismantling of the United States. So when they mention ‘liberating Turtle Island,’ that’s essentially what they’re signaling.”

A striking social media post from Minnesota ICE Watch might seem harmless, as it simply says, “How to start a community defense center in your neighborhood,” yet the accompanying image depicts “a police car on fire.”

“When they mention creating a community defense center, that suggests a violent agenda. This is a method of organizing an insurrection,” Mauro remarked, also noting that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz made remarks in the wake of the shooting that seemed to support “empowering and activating the Revolutionary Guards in our neighborhoods.”

According to Glenn, this group is essentially communicating to neighbors, ‘Here’s how we can unite and shield your area from malevolent police forces.’ “This is the reality, and the governor is essentially echoing the same sentiments,” Glenn said.
