Hannah Einbinder cautions that 'none of us are safe' following deadly ICE shooting

Outcry After ICE Shooting in Minneapolis

Following the shooting death of Renee Nicole Good by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Minneapolis, actress Hannah Einbinder issued a stark warning to the public, stating that “none of us are safe.” She urged her followers to actively oppose ICE until the agency is completely abolished.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Einbinder criticized federal agencies and argued that ignoring the incident would lead to a “mass death penalty” for the country. While her comments primarily focused on ICE, they also addressed broader systemic issues that she believes contribute to a negative cycle of violence, both domestically and abroad.

Martina Navratilova’s Support

Martina Navratilova also weighed in, characterizing ICE as “bad actors” in response to the incident.

Einbinder stated, “What we are allowing to happen to the Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli Defense Forces, whom we fund and train, could just as easily result in harm to our own people here in the United States.” She pointed to various injustices, including the water crisis in Flint, Michigan and land dispossession in Hawaii, arguing that those in power often evade responsibility.

She strongly condemned the actions of the ICE officers involved and reiterated her belief that safety is an illusion. “Artists and those with platforms, please use your voice in this fight every day, for as long as it takes. We can’t proceed as if everything is normal. It’s a collective death sentence,” she emphasized. “Ice pigs rot in hell.”

Fox News Digital has reached out for comments from representatives for Einbinder, ICE, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Expert Opinions and Previous Criticism

This isn’t Einbinder’s first critique of ICE. When she received the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in September 2025, she ended her speech with a call to “Free F—ICE and Palestine!” This garnered a strong response from Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin, who labeled such comments as dangerous and claimed they could incite violence against ICE agents. She stated that assaults on ICE personnel had surged significantly, criticizing Einbinder for exacerbating tensions.

McLaughlin remarked, “As this woman fans the flames of hatred, our brave law enforcement continues to enforce the rule of law and protect the American people.”
