Top DFS selections for Eagles-49ers in Wild Card round game

This Saturday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles will be up against the San Francisco 49ers. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag for the Eagles after their Super Bowl win, yet they’re favored to win at home by 4.5 points. Both teams have their weaknesses that they’ll need to address to advance in the playoffs. However, the 49ers’ defense currently seems to have an edge, which contributes to the point spread.

Here’s a look at some of the top options for DFS in this wild-card matchup.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles (FLEX $12,400, CPT $18,600)

Jalen Hurts has seen action in nine playoff games and has found the end zone with his legs in ten of them. Last season, the Eagles won five out of four playoff games. However, the offensive line hasn’t been quite as strong this year, which has affected both their rushing stats and Hurts’ ability to score rushing touchdowns. The return of Lane Dickerson this weekend could provide some much-needed support. I think they might push harder, especially considering the stakes in playoff games.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers (FLEX $13,200, CPT $19,800)

McCaffrey has been a pivotal player for the 49ers throughout the season. Despite facing lower efficiency numbers than he usually does, his usage remains incredibly high. With Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall, and George Kittle dealing with injuries, it’s puzzling why teams aren’t getting McCaffrey even more touches, considering he averages over 24 per game.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles (FLEX $11,800, CPT $17,000)

Barkley hasn’t quite reached the heights expected this season, but this is playoff time, and the 49ers are struggling defensively. With Dickerson likely returning, the Eagles should aim to control the game on the ground. I think I’d lean more toward someone like Hurts or McCaffrey, as Barkley hasn’t been as impactful as he was last year, but I do anticipate the Eagles will focus on establishing the run early.

Eddie Pineiro, K, 49ers (FLEX $6,400, CPT $XXX)

Pineiro has only missed one field goal this season and has been averaging double-digit points on FanDuel. This matchup poses some challenges in finding value. While Pineiro doesn’t offer significant upside, in his price range, he stands out compared to other options.

Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles (FLEX $7,400, CPT $11,100)

Goedert is finishing the season strong, scoring four times in the last three games. With 11 touchdowns overall, he’s become a more reliable target near the end zone than Barkley, who has only managed seven rushing touchdowns this season.

Demarcus Robinson, WR, 49ers (FLEX $5,200, CPT $7,800)

Robinson stepped in for Ricky Pearsall last week and might be called upon again if Pearsall isn’t available for the Eagles game. It’s uncertain if Robinson would have made it to the playoffs, but Kendrick Bourne was drafted ahead of him, which could sway decisions.
