Homeowner Shoots Would-be Car Thieves in Pennsylvania

Early Tuesday morning, a Pennsylvania homeowner reportedly opened fire on two men attempting to steal his car, injuring one of them, according to police reports.

The incident took place around 1 a.m. in the 200 block of Second Avenue, located in Catasauqua, which is about a 15-minute drive north of Allentown and less than an hour and a half from Philadelphia.

Authorities indicated that the homeowner shot at the suspects, who were wearing black masks. One of the attackers was armed with a knife, while the other had a crowbar. Despite the injury, both suspects managed to escape the scene.

Following the shooting, police were reportedly checking local hospitals for anyone with gunshot wounds. Fortunately, the homeowner emerged unscathed from the encounter.

Currently, no charges have been filed as the investigation is still ongoing.
