DNC Chairman Ken Martin ‘Is Completely Useless’

DNC Chairman Ken Martin 'Is Completely Useless'

Sen. Lindsey Graham’s Take on DNC Chairman’s Remarks

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) appeared on FNC’s “Hannity” on Monday, reacting to Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin’s comments that likened President Donald Trump to Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei.

Graham didn’t hold back, labeling Martin as “worthless scum” and argued that Trump’s approach to the Iranian regime mirrored former President Reagan’s tactics.

“First of all, Ken Martin is worthless trash,” Graham expressed. “Can you picture this guy fighting for freedom? To compare President Trump and his administration to the Ayatollahs shows you have the worst case of Trump derangement syndrome imaginable. Go to hell. President Trump supports those yearning for freedom. Why do you think these people have been protesting for so long? They see Trump as their ally. He said, ‘If they’re going to come after you, they will have to get through me first.’ The real issue is encouraging people to stand against a brutal dictator.”

He continued, “Anyone in the White House believing the Ayatollah will stick to a nuclear deal is foolish. Donald Trump is no fool. These individuals are in the streets because they believe in Trump. He’s the first president since 1979 to favor the people over the Ayatollah. And Democratic leaders, you’re deluded. Where are the Democrats? You seem to support Hamas, which harms Jews. Iran now has a crown prince, and there are people looking to ally with us. But your disdain for the movement is because it could be seen as a win for Trump. Lives are at stake, and as Americans, if this regime collapses, we will be safer.”

Graham proclaimed, “Trump is Reagan; he’s not Obama or Ken Martin. When Reagan confronted the Berlin Wall, he didn’t ask, ‘Can we lower the wall?’ He demanded, ‘Tear it down.’ When Trump had to decide between the Ayatollahs and the people, he selected the people. According to Trump, the only path to making Iran great again is for the protesters to triumph. He warned the Ayatollah, ‘If you keep slaughtering these individuals, I’ll protect them.’ Now’s the time to turn that promise into action. No boots on the ground, but this has to cease. We should target the infrastructure that facilitates this violence. Those responsible for the killings must be held accountable. I’m not suggesting an invasion, but I am advocating against the mistakes made in Afghanistan.”
