Virginia prosecutor Parisa Dehghani-Tafti did not supply documents to House looking into her obstruction of the investigation into threats against Stephen Miller.

The District Attorney of Northern Virginia, Parisa Deghani-Tafti, has turned down a request from the House Judiciary Committee concerning accusations that she is favoring left-leaning activists involved in troubling incidents regarding her deputy chief of staff for policy, Stephen Miller.

In a letter dated Tuesday, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio stated, “Your November 27 response mischaracterized the committee’s oversight authority and included no relevant documents.” He noted that her remarks echoed those from a different district attorney regarding similar allegations of political bias, specifically mentioning Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, which a federal court had dismissed.

Jordan continued, “We’ll proceed similarly here and once more request everyone’s cooperation.”

A Republican-led committee is probing what it describes as “clearly politically motivated actions” by U.S. Attorney Deghani-Tafti in a case involving a woman accused of disseminating threatening flyers and making unsettling gestures toward the spouse of a White House staff member in Miller’s district.

Deghani-Tafti had reportedly asked a local judge in October to limit state law enforcement search warrants connected to the alleged actions of Barbara Wien, 66, and to restrict the information that police could provide to the FBI.

Jordan characterized the prosecutor’s moves in this case as “unusual,” suggesting that investigators have implicated her in “obstructing the investigation” related to Wien.

The flyer in question featured an image of Miller’s face crossed out, alongside his home address.

The QR code on the material was linked to the Instagram page of Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity, which Jordan claimed supports Deghani-Tafti.

The flyers were distributed on September 11, the day after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk in Utah. On that same day, Wien was seen near the Millers’ residence while Katie Miller was sitting on their porch, where Wien reportedly gestured eerily, signaling that she was watching the family.

No arrest was made regarding Wien, and the warrant aimed to determine if she had violated any laws.

Jordan’s inquiry sought comprehensive documentation and communication about the utilization of federal funds by Deghani-Tafti’s office.

The committee also requested correspondence between Deghani-Tafti and her team that mentioned Miller, Wien, or the Arlington Neighborhood Group United for Humanity.

In her response to Jordan’s request from November, which was obtained by the media, Deghani-Tafti accused the committee of overstepping its boundaries, interfering in national and local matters, and unreasonably demanding information on ongoing criminal investigations.

As of yet, there has been no comment from Deghani-Tafti’s office.
