Democrat’s Strong Warning to Homeland Security Secretary
At a press conference on Wednesday, Representative LaMonica McIver (D.N.J.) issued a stern warning to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, suggesting that “God will judge” her actions, and indicating that Democrats are determined to remove her from office.
McIver expressed that she represents communities in New Jersey that are living in fear. “Families are too scared to go outside, send their kids to school, or even go to the grocery store because of harassment by ICE and Homeland Security,” she noted. “This isn’t just about public safety; this is state-sponsored fear.”
Criticism of ICE has intensified following the recent shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.
“The fear people are experiencing is both real and unjustifiable. Families are being torn apart, and people are suffering,” McIver added. “There are even reports of deaths occurring in ICE custody, and the government is making efforts to prevent oversight of their actions, which I know too well.”
McIver also addressed the circumstances surrounding Good’s shooting, emphasizing alleged misconduct by federal agents. “An ICE officer under Kristi Noem’s supervision shot and killed an American citizen last week,” she remarked. “Without any evidence, Noem labeled Good, the woman killed in this incident, a domestic terrorist without even knowing her name.”
The New Jersey representative then spoke directly to Noem, asserting that God would ultimately hold her accountable. “You’re awful at your job, incompetent, and most importantly, cruel. The American public doesn’t want you in this position, and we will do everything we can to ensure you are removed. God will judge you, and the Democratic Party will work towards getting you out of that office you never deserved to hold.”
According to the Department of Homeland Security, ICE agents are facing significant challenges, including a 1,300% rise in assaults and an 8,000% increase in death threats.
No comments have been received yet from ICE or Noem regarding this situation.
