The Pit Resumes on HBO Max
The Pit made its return to HBO Max last week, bringing back familiar faces like Dr. Robbie (Noah Wyle) and nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa). This season unfolds during the Fourth of July at the hospital, leading to some unique challenges. Alongside their regular duties, the healthcare team will face issues from firecracker burns to mishaps at hot dog eating contests, as well as alcohol-related incidents. On top of that, it marks Dr. Robbie’s last shift before he embarks on a three-month sabbatical, while it’s Dr. Langdon’s (Patrick Ball) first day back following months of drug rehabilitation.
The first season of The Pit was quite a success for HBO Max, attracting new viewers and collecting numerous awards. Just last weekend, the show snagged the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama along with Best Performance by an Actor for Noah Wyle. Critics have already received the initial nine episodes of Season 2, confirming that it seems to build on the show’s momentum, presenting an even stronger narrative than the first season.
