Mike Pompeo states that the Iranian government has reached its 'natural end point'

Pompeo Claims Iranian Regime is at a “Natural End”

On Thursday, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo posted on X, asserting that Iran’s regime has reached a “natural end” and cautioned against missing a “historic opportunity.”

He stated, “The Iranian regime has come to a natural end. It has no legitimacy, is weaker than ever, and has devastated its economy. With continued pressure, this evil anti-American dictatorship can end. Let’s not waste this historic opportunity.”

Pompeo previously served as CIA director and then as secretary of state under President Donald Trump.

Iran Protests and Allegations of Outside Influence

In another perspective, a Columbia professor suggested that protests in Iran might be instigated by Israel to shift focus away from the situation in Gaza, which he described as “genocide.”

Meanwhile, President Trump has shown support for Iranian rebels, pledging U.S. backing. In a post on Truth Social, he urged, “Iranian patriots, keep protesting—take over our institutions!!! Leave the names of the murderers and abusers. They will pay a heavy price.” He also declared he would halt all meetings with Iranian officials until the violence against protesters ceases, adding, “Help is on the way. Miga!!!”

Bolton’s Warning on U.S. Action

Former national security adviser John Bolton warned that failing to take action against Iran could harm Trump’s credibility. He remarked, “If the United States does nothing against Iran, it will be a blow to Mr. Trump’s credibility. Mr. Trump has drawn a line that should not be crossed, and his administration has crossed it.”

Bolton has held various roles, including as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations during President George W. Bush’s administration. Since leaving office, he’s had a mixed track record in discussing Trump.
