Fox News Digital Sees Major Growth in 2025
In 2025, Fox News Digital outperformed other major news brands, becoming a key source for Americans seeking important information and insights. It marked a record year, achieving an average of 143 million unique users across its digital platforms, leading the way in both views and engagement.
Fox News Digital garnered 23 billion views across its platforms, a 7% increase from the previous year. In contrast, The New York Times saw a 6% drop to 18 billion views, and CNN experienced a much steeper decline of 29%, ending at 10 billion views. Interestingly, this year became the second-best for Fox News Digital in terms of overall viewership, trailing only behind 2020.
Notably, Fox News also dominated YouTube, leading all news platforms with a remarkable 4.5 billion video views, a 69% rise compared to 2024. The network’s total video views surpassed competitors, including CNN, which wrapped up the year with 2.3 billion views, and NBC News at 1.8 billion.
Moreover, Fox News Digital ranked first for total minutes spent across platforms, amassing 47 billion, which represented a 13% increase from last year. While Fox News thrived, other brands like The Times and CNN struggled significantly. CNN, for example, faced significant drops, marking its worst performance since 2015, with a 34% decline in total viewing time.
The Fox News mobile app also had a standout year, with an average of 6.5 million unique users each month, comfortably ahead of CNN’s mobile app, which pulled in 4.6 million unique users. Additionally, for the eleventh consecutive year, Fox News Media dominated social media, generating a total of 1.5 billion interactions across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok, reflecting an impressive 247% increase from 2024.
