Bill Belichick will serve as an analyst for ACC Network's coverage of the CFP national championship game.

Bill Belichick will be attending Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game, but instead of taking on a coaching role, he’ll be serving as a guest analyst in the broadcast booth.

He’ll be part of the ACC Network’s coverage for the game at Hard Rock Stadium, focusing on the Indiana vs. Miami matchup, as announced by ESPN on Friday.

This won’t be Belichick’s first stint in front of the camera. He’s previously collaborated with Peyton Manning on his Omaha Productions while coaching for both the Patriots and the University of North Carolina.

Last NFL season, Belichick made regular guest appearances on the “Manning Cast” during “Monday Night Football.”

His presence comes after a rough inaugural season with the Tar Heels, where the team ended with a disappointing 4-8 record, placing last in the ACC.

Despite these challenges, Belichick has been active in the offseason. Recently, he signed former Wisconsin quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., who only played two games due to a knee injury in Week 2.

In December, he made significant changes to the coaching staff at UNC by letting go of offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens and special teams coordinator Mike Priefer.

Belichick expressed gratitude in a statement, saying, “I would like to thank Coach Kitchens and Coach Priefer for their commitment and significant contributions to our program and student-athletes. We wish both of them the best in their future endeavors.”

However, his time at UNC hasn’t been without controversy. An article by former ESPN personality Pablo Torre claimed that Jordon Hudson—a regular at UNC games—found the environment toxic under Belichick and stated she was banned from the facilities.

Hudson later announced on Instagram that she is suing Torre for comments made on his podcast, adding controversy to an already tumultuous season.
