Cindy Crawford shares her parenting tip at the WWD Awards: 'Be punctual'

Cindy Crawford recently shared some key advice she imparts to her children, Presley and Kaia. During an interview at the WWD Style Awards, she emphasized the importance of punctuality. “The best advice I can give both of my children, whether it’s modeling or any other job, is to be on time,” she stated.

The 59-year-old supermodel also reflected on her own confidence as a model. “Honestly, a lot of it is just pretending,” she remarked, adding that personal happiness and purpose play significant roles. She recalled a question about her confidence on the red carpet, noting, “Sometimes I don’t feel it, but once you step out, it’s your decision—you just have to go with it.” Living in the area for years and reconnecting with old friends adds to her enjoyment of these events.

At the awards, Crawford wore a stylish burgundy one-shoulder dress paired with strappy heels and hoop earrings. As an ambassador for Omega, she accepted the Red Carpet Watch of the Year award on behalf of the brand.

Crawford began her modeling career at 16 and moved to New York in 1986, eventually gracing the covers of major fashion magazines like Vogue and Elle. She was part of an elite group of supermodels, including Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista.

Reflecting on her journey, Crawford expressed gratitude for her experiences, admitting, “When I started modeling, I didn’t know anything about fashion.” Growing up in Illinois, she shared that her mother made many of her clothes. The transition into fashion taught her a lot about self-expression through clothing.

Crawford married businessman Rande Gerber in 1998, and they have two children. Kaia has made a name for herself in the modeling world, debuting at 16 and collaborating with high-profile designers like Chanel and Versace.
