Carson Beck states he no longer attends class: 'I graduated two years back'

Carson Beck on the Verge of National Championship

Carson Beck is just one game away from clinching a collegiate national championship, and interestingly enough, he’s not distracted by schoolwork on this journey.

After transferring to a university in South Florida, Beck has guided the Miami Hurricanes to the College Football Playoff finals. He openly admits that life off the field has been relatively distraction-free.

When asked if he’d been attending classes leading up to the championship game on Monday night, Beck chuckled and said, “I don’t have any classes. I graduated two years ago.”

Previously at Georgia State, he mentioned, “I’m now in Miami working towards other degrees, but it will take me longer than a year to finish these programs.” He added humorously, “Obviously, I won’t be re-enrolling next semester. When this season ends, it’s over.”

In the meantime, Beck has shown unwavering commitment to his football program. “I basically live at the facility. When I’m not there, I just go home. It’s been that way for about a month,” he noted.

His journey has sparked conversation online, with some users commenting on the shift in college football dynamics. One Twitter user pointed out, “College football is over,” while another said, “The brothers turned ‘college athletes’ into full-time careers.” There was even a remark about the oddity of playing college football for two years without attending classes.

Last week, Beck led his team to a thrilling 31-27 victory against No. 6 Ole Miss with a touchdown scored in the last 18 seconds of the game. The Hurricanes, now facing off against the undefeated No. 1 Indiana on Monday night, will enter as underdogs, but at least they’ll be playing at home.
