Country Musician Seeks Help for Missing Pregnant Dog

A country musician, known for his Grammy nomination, is urgently asking for assistance in locating his family’s lost dog, who is pregnant, after she disappeared from their Tennessee home in early January.

Lee Brice, 46, is exhaustively searching for Charlie, a black Labrador that went missing earlier this month.

He shared a heartfelt plea, lasting about 11 hours, urging local fans to keep an eye out for their beloved dog.

“She’s more than just a dog; she’s family. She’s pregnant and carrying a little puppy, and each day without her feels like an eternity. We’ve searched every back road, contacted all local shelters, and prayed harder than ever,” Brice posted.

“Charlie, if you’re out there, just hold on, sweet girl. Daddy’s coming. We all know how much our four-legged friends mean to us out here… Any small clue could help bring her back home to her baby… and to us.”

Brice, who gained acclaim in 2014 for his song “I Drive Your Truck,” mentioned that Charlie “could be anywhere from Franklin to areas west of town past Dixon.” His family resides in the Nashville area. In an update posted Monday, Brice suggested that Charlie might have been sighted near their home in Kingston Springs, roughly 37 miles from Nashville.

“I’m planning to ride my bike around the area,” Brice noted, mentioning that Charlie appeared to lack a collar in the footage shared.

Brice then took to Instagram, reposting the same message, reaching around 3.4 million followers across his social media profiles.

In the comments, fans expressed their support and offered suggestions for tracking Charlie, such as checking local shelters regularly and hiring a drone pilot for aerial searches.

The age of Charlie, as well as her expected due date, remains unclear.

Previously, Brice rescued a beagle named Buck in 2020. He also faced similar challenges when two other dogs, Jax and Knox, went missing in 2017, though they were later found safe.
