Allegation of Assault Involves Barron Trump
A woman has testified in a London court that she believes her life was saved by Barron Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump, during an alleged assault by her ex-boyfriend last year. According to reports, the incident occurred on January 18, 2025, when Trump responded to a FaceTime call from her and contacted emergency services.
The woman’s ex-partner—who remains unnamed—was described as jealous of her friendship with Barron Trump. He is identified as Matvei Rumianstev, a 22-year-old from East London. In her testimony, she recounted her experience, stating that the assault escalated unexpectedly after six months of dating, and she believed her ex had a history of violence, including strangulation.
Body camera footage from that night revealed Trump stating to authorities, “I saw the ceiling, I heard screaming, I saw a man’s head over the phone, and then I turned the camera on her crying and being beaten.” He noted his attempt to initiate a casual conversation but ended up making the emergency call that lasted about 10 to 15 seconds.
During this emergency call, Trump informed the operator that a female friend of his was being assaulted, emphasizing, “This is a real emergency, please.” Once the police arrived, the woman confirmed her connection to Barron Trump, stating, “I’m friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son.” The officers on the scene even discussed the matter, with one acknowledging the informant as Trump.
Later, the woman called Trump again to verify if he had called the police, to which he confirmed. He added that contacting the authorities was “the best thing I could do” in that stressful situation. Reflecting on the experience, she declared, “That call in that moment was like a sign from God.”
The trial concerning the alleged assault continues, with Rumianstev denying the charges. He has also mentioned that the woman had faced repeated assaults and pressure to drop the charges against him.
