Clintons Facing Contempt of Congress Charges
The House Oversight Committee has officially filed charges against the Clintons for contempt of Congress. Liz Wheeler, a host on Blaze TV, asserted that the Clintons deserve this. “If anyone knows whether Jeffrey Epstein was affiliated with the intelligence community, it would be the Clintons. Yet, they ignored the subpoena. This is a crime,” Wheeler stated emphatically.
Wheeler further emphasized the importance of their testimony: “The Clintons’ insights are vital for understanding Epstein’s sex-trafficking operations and how he wielded influence to evade scrutiny. Their input could also help Congress improve laws to combat human trafficking,” remarked Committee Chairman Comer.
Comer noted that the Committee has acted with good intentions, remaining flexible regarding scheduling. However, he expressed frustration with the Clintons’ lack of cooperation, citing their repeated delays and defiance. Additionally, he mentioned the Clintons’ claim of being treated “unfairly.”
He referenced various forms of evidence, including photographs and flight logs, which highlight Epstein’s documented connections with Ghislaine Maxwell and others.
“Remember, defying a Congressional subpoena is a crime. When two Republicans, Bannon and Navarro, did this, they faced severe consequences. Bannon even received a sentence in federal prison,” Wheeler pointed out. She posed a critical question: “Why should Hillary Clinton be treated any differently? Should there be a justice system that holds Republicans accountable while letting Democrats slide?”
Some critics have expressed concerns that pursuing charges against the Clintons might allow Democrats to retaliate politically against Republicans if they regain power. Wheeler disagreed, asserting, “That’s ridiculous. The Democrats have already been targeting us for the last decade. They’re not suddenly going to stop.” She concluded, “They already do that.”
