President Trump and Melania Celebrate 21 Years of Marriage

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary. After attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump returned to join Melania for a special dinner in Washington, D.C.

The couple’s story began in September 1998 when 52-year-old Trump met the then 28-year-old Melania Knauss at a party during New York Fashion Week. Interestingly, Melania, a fashion model from Slovenia, initially refused to give Trump her phone number, opting instead to ask for his.

They soon started dating, and their relationship grew over the years, leading to their engagement in April 2004. They married on January 22, 2005, at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida, followed by a grand reception at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Their wedding was lavish, with around 350 guests and the venue adorned with 10,000 flowers. Melania wore an exquisite Christian Dior gown complete with a stunningly long train and veil. Their son, Barron Trump, was born a year later on March 20, 2006, in New York City.

In her memoir “Melania,” which was released in 2024, she reflected on her wedding day, saying, “While my wedding was grand…I felt in my heart the same way every other bride feels on their special day. The pressure to make everything go smoothly was certainly real, but ultimately my main focus was celebrating Donald’s and my love and dedication surrounded by our loved ones.”

On social media, the couple’s anniversary received warm wishes. One user tweeted, “Donald Trump and Melania Trump celebrate their 21st wedding anniversary today. Happy Birthday to the greatest president and first lady in the history of this country.”

Looking ahead, Melania plans to release a documentary titled “Melania,” which will hit theaters on January 30. The film promises to offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her life during the 20 days leading up to her husband’s second presidential inauguration in 2024.

Melania mentioned, “For the first time, audiences from around the world are invited to the theater to witness this important chapter unfold. Join us for a personal, unfiltered look at my journey through family, business, and philanthropy on my incredible journey to becoming the First Lady of the United States.”
