Vice President Vance at the March for Life
Vice President J.D. Vance participated in the 2026 March for Life in Washington, D.C., on Friday, where he revealed that the Trump administration has begun an investigation into Planned Parenthood organizations.
Upon taking the stage, the crowd began chanting “JD.” Vance reflected on how his initial speech as vice president was delivered at last year’s March for Life.
“Do not commit fraud or use tax dollars for abortions,” he stated emphatically.
He continued, “For those who might recall my comments last year, one of my aspirations for the United States is to encourage more families and more babies. So, just to clarify, we have a vice president who truly practices what he preaches,” referring to the exciting news about his and second lady Usha Vance’s upcoming fourth child.
Vance commended President Trump’s selection of Supreme Court justices, considering them “the most vital Supreme Court justices of my lifetime,” specifically mentioning the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case.
He asserted that Trump has “shattered 50 years of a disposable culture that views human life as disposable when it becomes inconvenient.” He added, “He empowered our country and our movement to cultivate a culture of life from the ground up… Our vision is straightforward: We want life to thrive in the United States.”
“We’re not just debating the Supreme Court anymore. We are communicating to our fellow citizens the necessity of fostering a culture of life,” he elaborated.
Vance assured pro-life supporters that they have the Trump administration’s backing.
He announced that his administration has initiated a fraud investigation concerning Planned Parenthood affiliates, focusing on “millions of dollars” in Paycheck Protection Program loans that were “illegally received.” These loans were subsequently “forgiven” by the Biden administration.
“Don’t commit fraud or use tax dollars for abortions,” he reiterated.
Additionally, he pointed to the Mexico City policy, which prohibits international organizations that advocate for or perform abortions from receiving taxpayer funds.
Before Vance’s address, pre-recorded remarks from President Donald Trump were shared with the gathering.
“For 53 years, students, families, patriots, and believers have come to Washington from all over to affirm the immense value and God-given dignity of every human life,” Trump told the audience. “Six years ago, I was honored to be the first president in history to attend this march in person. Since then, we’ve made unprecedented strides in protecting innocent lives and promoting family values. This is truly unique.”
Trump continued, “Under the Trump administration, we firmly defend religious freedom. We’re reigniting faith in America and restoring God’s place.”

The Small Business Administration recently disclosed that it is reviewing more than $88 million in PPP loans awarded to Planned Parenthood affiliates. The agency indicated that it had requested documentation from 38 family planning organizations to prove their eligibility for relief funds.
Melanie Newman, Chief External Affairs Officer for Planned Parenthood, issued a statement in response to the SBA’s actions.
“Planned Parenthood member organizations abide by the law, as shown by past investigations,” Newman noted. “These new, politically motivated intimidation tactics are the Trump administration’s attempt to find any means to shut down family planning health centers and obstruct access to quality healthcare from trusted providers. That’s the crux of it.”
She added, “What the Trump administration and its supporters focus on today is closing family planning medical centers. Meanwhile, across the nation, people struggle to afford medical care, hospitals are shutting down, and essential groceries are increasingly unaffordable. The Small Business Administration should aim to improve lives, yet it seems dedicated to making life harder for many.”
