Kevin Durant caught criticizing a fan on a hot mic: 'Can't do anything'

Kevin Durant’s Heated Exchange with Fans During Rockets’ Win

In a recent game, the Rockets triumphed over the Pistons, but Kevin Durant’s emotions reached a boiling point. Videos surfaced showing Durant expressing his frustration, including remarks aimed at fans, calling them “fat mothers” and saying they “can’t do ST.”

At one moment, while lining up for free throws, Durant can be heard directing a rather crude comment towards the crowd. It’s not entirely clear what triggered his outburst during Houston’s 111-104 win, but it seemed to start with him being close to the sideline right before taking a free throw.

“Watch your mouth,” he told the fans in question.

Later, the footage shifts to Durant joking around with another fan, who happened to be donning a Tigers hat at Little Caesars Arena. It was a stark contrast to his earlier comments.

In the second quarter of the game, while the Rockets led by three points, Durant was caught on a hot microphone telling someone to engage in a sexual act—a rather surprising turn of phrase for the court. Along with that, he added, “You’re an adult in my bedroom all night.”

Durant, who is usually quite engaging with fans online, showcased his skills during the game, scoring 32 points with impressive shooting numbers—11-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-11 from three-point range. This performance contributed to the Rockets’ recent success, marking his sixth victory in their last eight outings.

The game against the Pistons had the added intrigue of them being a top team in the Eastern Conference, marking only their 11th loss of the season. It raises questions about future matchups, which could have playoff implications.

Since joining the Rockets in the offseason, Durant has consistently contributed, scoring at least 20 points in the majority of games. He discussed the growing intensity as the season continues, noting that teams often ramp up their efforts before the All-Star break. “You can feel it every year at this time,” he remarked. “Tonight was physical. It’s going to be more physical for us going forward.”

As for the Rockets, they recently faced a tough back-to-back, having lost to the 76ers the night before. They currently sit in the fourth seed in the Western Conference, trailing the top-seeded Thunder by eight games.
