Buffalo Bills Address Keon Coleman’s Performance

It seems there’s quite a buzz around the Buffalo Bills lately, especially after owner Terry Pegula’s recent press conference. Wide receiver Keon Coleman finds himself in a rather tricky spot following some comments made about his performance.

Pegula, along with general manager Brandon Beane, discussed Coleman’s underwhelming second season. Interestingly, Pegula pointed fingers at the coaching staff that let Coleman go, indicating they chose to draft him two years ago.

“We’ll handle the situation with Keon,” Pegula stated, as questions about Coleman were referred to Beane.

Pegula added that it was the coaching staff that pushed for Coleman’s selection, although he wasn’t necessarily Beane’s first choice. “Brandon is a team player and he listened to the coaching staff, who really believed in Keon,” Pegula explained.

He also mentioned that Beane seemed unhappy about the whole situation but didn’t voice his concerns. “But I’m here to clarify things,” said Pegula.

Coleman has taken these comments in stride, though he admitted some confusion over them. Reports suggest the 22-year-old is now focusing on training and preparing for the upcoming season, despite feeling a bit surprised by the narrative surrounding him.

The Bills are counting on Coleman to step up this year, as they didn’t make any significant changes to bolster their wide receiver lineup over the offseason.

When he first entered the league in 2024, Coleman had some impressive moments. He caught 29 passes for 556 yards and four touchdowns across 13 games. After a promising start to the 2025 season, where he had eight catches for 112 yards in his first game, expectations were high for him. However, his performance declined sharply, and he struggled to make an impact, even being a healthy scratch in several games.

Now the team hopes he can find his groove and become a key player moving forward.
