Matthew Stafford reached out to Cooper Kupp following the Rams' defeat to the Seahawks.

After the Rams faced a tough loss in the NFC Championship game, quarterback Matthew Stafford had just one priority—finding Cooper Kupp. The game had ended with a 31-27 victory for the Seahawks, sending them to the Super Bowl, and Stafford was eager to congratulate his old friend.

As soon as the final whistle blew, he rushed out onto the field, scanning the area for his former teammate. It was clear he was determined; at one point, he even asked players from the Seahawks, “Where’s No. 10?”

When he finally located Kupp, they shared a heartfelt embrace. “Stop making me look for you for so long,” Stafford joked, playfully chastising Kupp. “Try winning the Super Bowl, kid.”

Kupp responded with genuine admiration, saying, “Hey, I love you, dude. You’re unbelievable.”

The duo had played together in Los Angeles from 2021 to 2024, and their first season was something to remember. Stafford’s remarkable stats that year—145 catches for 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns—helped Kupp secure the Triple Crown. Together, they clinched the Super Bowl title, with Kupp earning MVP honors.

However, Kupp’s journey took a turn last March when he was released by the Rams, only to sign with the Seahawks shortly after. In Sunday’s game, he made a solid impact, catching four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown, while also expressing gratitude for Stafford and their shared experiences.

“Matthew is the man,” Kupp remarked. “The ultimate competitor. One of the best players to ever play this position. I love this guy. Every time he gets the ball, I’m terrified. I love him. It was a crazy thing because there are a lot of people over there who are my best friends.”
