Ali Larter Discusses Challenges of Bikini Scenes in The Landman

Ali Larter recently shared that her bikini scene in The Landman was particularly tough to film. The actress, who portrays Angela Norris on the Paramount+ series, described the experience as “weirdly difficult” in an interview with People magazine.

“Honestly, I don’t think any actress is truly excited about a bikini scene,” Larter commented. “It’s something that nobody really wants to do.” She added that such scenes rank among her least favorite aspects of acting.

“It’s definitely challenging for me. I don’t enjoy it, but it’s part of the story I’m telling,” she explained. Larter noted that her character, Angela, is depicted as confident and enjoys a glamorous lifestyle, making it necessary to maintain a certain physique for the role.

She explained that fulfilling Angela’s character demands a significant commitment to fitness and discipline. “I’m really dedicated to staying in shape, especially with revealing clothing involved,” Larter said.

In her discussions, Larter emphasized the effort it takes to prepare for her role, mentioning that she wakes up early for runs and follows a strict diet rich in protein. “I work hard, and I make sure to eat clean,” she stated, reiterating her commitment to her fitness regimen.

“At the end of the day, wearing a bathing suit in front of everyone is tough,” Larter reflected. “I look at the women who own their looks, and that’s what I aspire to do with Angela.” However, she admitted that she battles her own insecurities related to appearing in such scenes.
