Quinton Aaron’s Health Crisis
Quinton Aaron is currently battling serious health issues after experiencing severe neck pain, which led his wife to call for help. The actor known for his role in “The Blind Side” was intubated and placed on life support due to a significant blood infection, as confirmed by his wife, Margarita Aaron.
Doctors are still investigating the source of the infection, and tests are ongoing to identify its cause. Aaron’s medical team described his condition as “day to day,” but Margarita expressed hope, referring to him as “a very strong warrior.”
Margarita shared that after they called 911, doctors decided to intubate Aaron because his breathing was erratic. “They’re continuing testing to determine the root cause of the issue,” she noted, adding that he is being treated with a broad spectrum of antibiotics.
She mentioned, “He seemed a little conscious, but not very responsive,” after visiting him recently. Nonetheless, she noted a positive sign—a thumbs up from him during their interaction, though he wasn’t very alert. “His reactions were not very good,” she admitted.
Margarita said that the medical team is also planning a bioluminescent MRI to hopefully provide more clarity about his condition. She believes firmly in Aaron’s strength and faith: “He’s a fighter. A very strong fighter. You know, he’s improving day by day. I believe God got him, and he believes God got him.”
Aaron previously revealed that a medical scare in October led him to completely change his lifestyle. He feels it was a wake-up call from God. Reflecting on a past incident where he almost drowned, he described how he lost consciousness but heard a voice urging him to stand up. That moment, he recalled, was particularly striking; “I woke up underwater,” he said. Fortunately, he managed to escape the situation and was later treated for infections stemming from other health complications.
Quinton Aaron, who played Michael Oher in the 2009 film “The Blind Side,” portrayed a true story of love and resilience, as the film follows the Tuohy family’s journey to adopt Oher, who ultimately found success in the NFL.
