Nicki Minaj Backs Trump, Emphasizes Support Despite Criticism
On Wednesday, rapper Nicki Minaj boldly stated that she might be President Donald Trump’s “biggest fan,” asserting that her support won’t waver. This declaration came during the Trump Account Summit, aimed at introducing a new investment account program that offers tax advantages.
“I’m probably the president’s biggest fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj emphasized. She noted that the negative comments she receives from opponents don’t affect her, saying, “In fact, it motivates me to support him more.”
She elaborated on this sentiment, mentioning, “And that’s going to be an incentive for all of us to support him more. We’re not going to let them get away with the bullying and smear campaign against him. That’s not going to work.”
Minaj concluded with a sense of conviction, stating, “There is a great power behind him and God protects him. Amen.”
Additionally, reports indicate that Minaj plans to financially support fans whose babies are born during Trump’s second term, aligning with the new initiative. “I really love the Barbs,” she expressed, alluding to her fan base. “I want to see them bring healthy, successful children into the world. Becoming a mother was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I want others to experience the same joy that my son brought to my life.”
The Trump Accounts are set to provide $1,000 from the Treasury for babies born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, allowing them to establish their own accounts. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is inviting businesses and affluent individuals to contribute to this initiative.
Furthermore, parents can add an extra $5,000, and employers have the option to contribute $2,500 annually until the child turns 18, at which point the funds can be accessed.
The donation process is expected to kick off by July 4, 2026. These tax-deferred accounts will be administered through a new IRS form, named Form 4547, with registration sheets available on the Treasury Department’s website starting in May of this year.
