Ray J shares details of his rigorous treatment plan after stating he has a few months to live

Ray J is battling serious health issues and is currently on eight different medications.

The singer recently shared with TMZ that doctors have prescribed him medications like Jardiance and Entresto, which are often given to those at risk of heart failure, along with the cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor. They’ve also advised him to take it easy and rest.

On Tuesday, Ray J revealed he might have just a few months to live. Due to his health situation, he has decided to stop drinking and smoking.

At 45 years old, he mentioned he could potentially receive a pacemaker or defibrillator, but he won’t know for sure until his follow-up appointment in a couple of weeks. He’s even considering seeking treatment in Haiti.

Earlier this week, he posted on Instagram that “2027 is definitely over” for him.

Ray J expressed feelings of despair regarding his heart health, saying it’s only beating at 60 percent, which he described as “pitch black.” He reflected on past habits, admitting, “I shouldn’t have tried so hard… I used to handle all the alcohol… and drugs.”

He recalled drinking “four or five bottles a day” and taking “10 Adderall,” adding, “I couldn’t keep that up. It messed up my time here.”

In another video, he recounted a recent hospital stay where he nearly passed away, linking it to a previous severe pneumonia episode in 2021. This weekend, he conveyed through social media that as long as he remains focused, he believes things will turn out okay, thanking everyone for their prayers.

Ray J mentioned that due to a criminal protection order, he hasn’t been able to see his children with his estranged wife, Princess Love. He acknowledged that this period has taken a toll on him, making it clear he recognizes the need for lifestyle changes.

He had been arrested in November 2025 for allegedly pointing a gun during a livestream incident, though he was released the same day after posting bail.

The couple shares two children: Melody, age 7, and Epic, age 5.
