Turning Point USA to Host Alternative Super Bowl Halftime Show

Turning Point USA has announced a new patriotic concert set to air as a replacement for the traditional Super Bowl halftime show. Titled “The All-American Halftime Show,” this event is scheduled for February 8 at around 8 p.m. ET and will feature performances from well-known artists such as Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.

Kid Rock expressed his thoughts on the event, saying, “We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. It’s almost impossible to compete with pro football and global pop superstars… or is it?”

The concert will run concurrently with the NFL’s official halftime performance, which will be headlined by Latin star Bad Bunny. This choice has drawn criticism from some conservative voices.

In response to the event, Turning Point USA’s spokesperson, Andrew Corbett, mentioned that this alternative option is meant to provide families with another way to enjoy the game. He highlighted that this show aims to create an immersive experience, making viewers feel more engaged than they would at a large stadium concert.

“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show that celebrates faith, family, and freedom,” Corbett added, expressing anticipation for the event.

Bad Bunny’s leadership in the official halftime performance has sparked a backlash, including remarks from former President Trump, who questioned the decision. He remarked, “I don’t know why they would do that. It’s crazy.” Trump has also stated his intention to skip the game, citing distance as a factor.

Adding to the mix of commentary, Green Day is also set to perform before the kickoff, with frontman Billie Joe Armstrong having been openly critical of Trump in previous statements.

Turning Point USA’s halftime show will be available via the organization’s YouTube, X, and Rumble platforms, alongside Sinclair’s OTT channel CHARGE!, which can be accessed through services like Samsung Plus, YouTube TV, and Hulu, among others.
