Two bold robbers invaded the Los Angeles home of Gina Torres, who is known for her role in “Suits,” making off with approximately $225,000 worth of jewelry and cash, police reported on Monday.
The Los Angeles police responded to a robbery call at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, only to discover that Torres’ residence had been compromised. Officers checked the property and documented the theft but couldn’t apprehend the two men, who made their escape in a white sedan.
Torres wasn’t home during the incident. According to authorities, a neighbor witnessed the men exiting her home with bags and loading them into her vehicle.
As of Monday night, there were still no leads on the suspects.
Gina Torres initially gained fame in the early 2000s with her performances in the TV show “Firefly” and its movie adaptation, “Serenity.” Recently, she had a role in the Fox series “9-1-1: Lone Star.”
It’s concerning, isn’t it? Even celebrities with advanced security measures can fall prey to sophisticated burglaries. Experts indicated that thieves often use high-tech tools like signal jammers, which can be quite expensive, to bypass security systems.
No comments have been issued from Torres’ representatives regarding the incident.
