Savannah Guthrie makes heartfelt appeal after her mom Nancy's potential kidnapping.

Savannah Guthrie has called for prayers as her mother, Nancy Guthrie, is currently missing.

The co-host of “Today” shared an Instagram post on Monday night, asking her followers to “please pray” for her mother, who reportedly was abducted from her Arizona home while she was asleep over the weekend.

In her heartfelt message, she expressed beliefs in the power of prayer, saying, “We believe in prayer. We believe in voices raised in unison, filled with love and hope. We believe in goodness. We believe in humanity. And above all, we believe in God.”

She continued to thank everyone for their prayers for her mother, describing Nancy as a woman of profound faith and a devoted servant. “Please join us in raising your prayers and believe with us that she will be saved by them in this moment,” Savannah, 54, added. “We need you.”

She also shared a Bible verse, emphasizing that, “The Lord will keep in perfect peace those who trust in him and are hard-hearted,” reflecting on its timeless relevance.

To conclude her message, Savannah expressed a strong hope by saying, “Take her home.” Many of her social media followers rallied support for her, including former co-anchor Hoda Kotb, who reassured her with a message of love and continuous prayers.

Nancy, 84, was last seen Saturday evening after returning home from a family dinner, but she didn’t arrive at church the following morning.

Authorities described her as having a “sound mind” but dealing with physical ailments, making her disappearance concerning. Sheriff Chris Nanos indicated that there’s a possibility of kidnapping, noting, “This is an elderly woman in her mid-80s who is sick… She couldn’t go even 50 yards.”

Recent reports revealed that police discovered blood stains and signs of forced entry at Nancy’s residence, which is currently treated as a crime scene.

In her earlier statement, Savannah thanked everyone for their support and reiterated the family’s focus on finding their mother safely. She encouraged anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
