With the start of a new league year just around the corner, free agency is also on the horizon. Fans of various teams, aside from the Seahawks and Patriots, are eagerly thinking about how their squads will shape up for the 2026 season and which new rookies might make an impact come September.
For those teams looking to add a wide receiver and with some salary cap flexibility, this could be an ideal year to enhance their receiving corps. From breakout talent George Pickens to the reliably steady Mike Evans, here’s a glance at some of the top wide receiver free agents available.
1.) George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys
2025 stats: 17 games played (15 starts), 93 receptions, 1,429 yards (15.4 YPR), 9 touchdowns, 4 fumbles.
Pickens, who started his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was traded to the Cowboys last May. He had a stellar 2025 season, ranking eighth in catches (93), third in receiving yards (1,429), and fourth in touchdowns (9), which earned him his first Pro Bowl nomination and second-team All-Pro honors.
2.) Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2025 performance: 8 games played (8 starts), 30 receptions, 383 yards (12.3 YPR), 3 touchdowns.
In 2025, Mike Evans ended up with under 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career partly due to a broken collarbone. Nevertheless, he demonstrated his value on the field, making 30 receptions and scoring three touchdowns in just eight games. As he turns 33 at the start of the 2026 season, he remains one of the league’s top contested-catch receivers.
3.) Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants
2025 performance: 16 games played (15 starts), 92 receptions, 1,014 yards (11.0 YPR), 4 touchdowns, 1 fumble.
Robinson has had two consecutive seasons with at least 90 catches. In 2025, he looked poised to surpass 1,000 yards for the first time, with his 93 receptions ranking him eighth in the league, including 14 catches that went for over 20 yards.

5.) Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
2025 performance: 15 games played (15 starts), 55 receptions, 643 yards (11.7 YPR), 9 touchdowns, 1 fumble.
Jennings stepped up prominently in a year plagued by injuries for the 49ers. He managed 55 receptions and a career-high nine touchdowns, playing a crucial role as the team advanced to the divisional round. Aside from being a reliable target, he’s also known for being a strong run blocker.

7.) Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts
2025 performance: 15 games played (14 starts), 47 receptions, 1,003 yards (21.3 YPR), 6 touchdowns.
Pierce had a remarkable year, ending the season with 47 receptions for 1,003 yards, averaging more than 21 yards per catch. This follows an impressive 22.3 yards per catch in 2024, showcasing his status as one of the top deep threats in the game.
8.) Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
2025 performance: 17 games played (3 starts), 81 receptions, 777 yards (9.6 YPR), 4 touchdowns, 2 fumbles.
Allen showed he still has what it takes, having a productive season with the Chargers in 2025 following a brief stint in Chicago. He recorded 81 receptions and four touchdowns at age 33, proving he can still be a dependable target and red-zone option as he approaches 34.
9.) Hollywood Brown, Kansas City Chiefs
2025 performance: 16 games played (6 starts), 49 receptions, 587 yards (12.0 YPR), 5 touchdowns, 1 fumble.
After a tough season in 2024, where he only played a couple of games, Brown bounced back well, catching 49 passes and scoring five touchdowns in 2025. He remains a reliable veteran with versatility for both perimeter and slot roles.
10.) Christian Kirk, Houston Texans
2025 performance: 13 games played (3 starts), 29 receptions, 239 yards (8.5 YPR), 1 touchdown.
Kirk’s year was a bit dull, having missed nine games in 2024 due to injuries. He managed to gather only 29 receptions in the regular season. However, he had a standout performance against the Steelers in the playoffs with eight catches for 144 yards and another touchdown against the Patriots in the divisional round. To date, he has accumulated over 5,400 yards and 30 touchdowns throughout his career.
