Kidnapper and Child Predator Arrested by ICE Agents
On Monday, agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended a kidnapper and child predator, as detailed in a press release obtained by Blaze News.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been monitoring immigration-related arrests, focusing on what they describe as the “worst of the worst.” Reports indicate that ICE has also detained an increasing number of violent criminals.
“Seventy percent of ICE arrests involve illegal aliens who either have been charged with or convicted of crimes in the U.S.,” the press release stated.
Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary of Homeland Security, commented, “While sanctuary politicians and Hollywood have criticized our law enforcement, our officers have been busy arresting kidnappers, pedophiles, and drug traffickers.” The DHS emphasized four significant arrests made since Monday.
Among those arrested was Armando Miguel Hernandez Valdez, an illegal immigrant from Mexico with previous convictions for kidnapping, possession of a controlled substance, and escape, all stemming from Utah.
ICE also detained Carlos Martinez, a Salvadoran national, in Dallas County, Texas. He is suspected of aggravated sexual assault against a child under 14.
Freddy Rylandi Medina-Cruz, an illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republic, was another notable arrest. He has had multiple convictions, including drug trafficking in Massachusetts and fraud in Michigan.
Additionally, Jianqiao Lu, a Chinese national, was arrested after being previously convicted of criminal possession of an assault weapon in New York. Reports from 2023 mentioned he faced 113 felony charges after police found numerous illegally owned firearms.
McLaughlin reiterated the seriousness of these arrests, stating, “Violent criminals like these shouldn’t be in our communities. The statistic of 70 percent of ICE arrests being illegal aliens charged or convicted of crimes doesn’t even cover foreign fugitives or terrorists who may not have extensive records in the U.S. Every arrest contributes to making America safer.”
