KJ Dillard Joins the Cast of Summer House
KJ Dillard makes his entrance into a shared house in the Hamptons as part of Season 10 of Summer House.
Described as a buddy of West Wilson from Missouri, Dillard is one of six newcomers this season. A sports journalist has called him a “mild-mannered” individual who, after a few tequila sodas, transforms into someone quite lively. Even though they both hail from the Midwest, Wilson seems to think Dillard might just be the “prettier” one.
So, who exactly is KJ Dillard? And what insights has he shared about the latest season? Keep reading to discover more about him!
Who is KJ Dillard?
Dillard, at 28, is a skateboarder and model. Originally from Arizona and raised in Kansas City, he dedicated nearly a decade to professional skateboarding before shifting gears toward modeling and music. He recalls picking up a skateboard at the young age of 6 or 7, and by 19, a trick he invented—the “One-Foot Crooked Grind”—had gone viral. Before stepping into Summer House, he spent two summers modeling in Europe.
On the family front, Dillard lived in Arizona until he turned 10, at which point his parents divorced, leading him to Kansas City. He mentioned that he and his two younger sisters were largely raised by their mother, a nurse, while their father played left field for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
KJ Dillard’s Thoughts on Mental Health
In the Season 10 premiere of Summer House, Dillard revealed that he has dealt with anxiety since he was 14. To cope, he turned to skateboarding and various adrenaline-fueled activities.
In a series of Instagram posts back in November 2025, Dillard shared that he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder after grappling with conditions like ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and depression for over a decade. He described this diagnosis as “life-changing.”
“For years, my mental health has been a struggle for me,” he wrote. “I often touch on this in my music but rarely discuss it online. Social media makes it easy to hide behind a screen and only share the good moments while ignoring the tough ones. It’s okay to not be okay. This isn’t a plea for help but rather an acknowledgment of my humanity. For those who are struggling, this is how I heal.”
