Rep Rashida Tlaib is accused of having links to terrorism in a recent report

Concerns Raised Over Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s Ties to Extremist Groups

A new briefing paper from a bipartisan research and policy group has raised “serious ethical and national security concerns” about Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s connections with individuals and organizations associated with designated foreign terrorist entities. The report, published by the Global Antisemitism and Policy Research Institute, emphasizes that Tlaib’s conduct—including her rhetoric and affiliations—poses risks to the ethical integrity of the U.S. government.

The findings pinpoint a “recurring pattern” in Tlaib’s behaviors that suggests an ideological alignment with extremist movements. This includes her participation in conferences alongside convicted terrorists and substantial campaign donations to activists linked to Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

During a recent press conference, it was revealed that Tlaib’s campaign organization channeled significant funds—around $600,000 from 2020 to 2025—to Rasha Mubarak’s consulting firm, Anbid Power, which has faced scrutiny for ties to various extremist organizations.

Mubarak’s past affiliations with the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Alliance for Global Justice have led to further allegations against her, especially concerning links to the PFLP. The briefing indicates that Tlaib has shared platforms with individuals who have been publicly identified as being part of this extremist network.

The report asserts that through her advocacy and engagement, Tlaib has consistently interacted with organizations that maintain connections to terrorist networks. It mentions her use of social media to amplify messages from these groups and even references their terminology in her official communications.

Tlaib’s actions have sparked accusations of positioning herself alongside hostile foreign actors, leading to two formal actions against the Michigan Democratic Party. Initially, in November 2023, she faced backlash for promoting misinformation regarding the October 7 Hamas attack. The subsequent resolution in September 2025 followed her attendance at an event where speakers allegedly downplayed the actions of Hamas financiers.

The press conference not only flagged these concerns but also called for concrete governmental actions, urging a formal congressional investigation into Tlaib’s conduct. This includes scrutiny of her public statements regarding alleged ties to terrorist organizations, her involvement in events honoring convicted terrorists, and her campaign financing sources.

Additionally, the briefing encourages the Department of Justice’s National Security Division to examine whether Tlaib or her affiliates may have breached laws against providing material support to foreign terrorist groups. A forensic audit of her campaign financing by the Federal Election Commission is also recommended, specifically examining donations linked to terrorist networks.

The report concludes by suggesting that Tlaib’s actions could normalize extremist ideology within democratic institutions, warning that if not addressed, her influence could perpetuate a culture of hatred.

This is not Tlaib’s first encounter with these concerns; her name previously appeared in an action report discussing a multigenerational campaign by the Muslim Brotherhood to influence Western societies. The report highlights the election of women like Tlaib and Ilhan Omar to Congress, indicating their public positioning aligns with the Brotherhood’s agenda on matters like Israel and counterterrorism.

While neither Tlaib nor Omar is documented to have formal ties to the Brotherhood, they have participated in events aligned with its ideology and accepted donations from supporters of its agenda, consistently advocating views in line with these objectives.

The inquiry remains ongoing as Fox News Digital has reached out for a statement from Tlaib’s office.
