TrumpRx Website Launches with “Unprecedented” Access to Prescription Drugs
Hannah Anderson, who is the director of Healthy American Policy at the America First Policy Institute, referred to President Trump’s new website as “the first of its kind” and noted its “unprecedented” nature during a conversation on Breitbart News.
In an interview with Matthew Boyle, Anderson emphasized that the TrumpRx website aims to provide Americans with “direct access” to clear pricing for necessary medications. The site was launched on a Thursday and already features coupons for 40 different drugs.
“It’s crucial for people to recognize just how groundbreaking this is,” Anderson remarked. “This is a direct deal—no middleman. Americans can visit the site, see the prices of their medications, and avoid the hassle of visiting multiple pharmacies or dealing with insurance paperwork.”
According to her, users can straightforwardly access the site, view pricing, print out coupons, and get their medications at a pharmacy of their choosing. “This is enormous,” she added.
Anderson continued, “We’re finally tackling global freeloading. Less than a year ago, the president introduced this initiative through an executive order, and now, in February, it’s coming to fruition. He genuinely cares about the concerns of everyday Americans, which is why he’s acting promptly on the critical issue of prescription drug prices.”
When questioned about which drugs would be available on TrumpRx and the potential for more options, Anderson mentioned that many different medications are included, with more to come.
“It’s early in the rollout phase, and we are negotiating prices. One significant aspect the president has emphasized is the availability of IVF drugs. He has assured that there will be additional options for IVF. We also have inhalers available—covering not just asthma, but also COPD,” she elaborated.
