NBA Star Alperen Sengun Ejected During Game

During a recent game, Houston Rockets player Alperen Sengun was ejected from a match against the Boston Celtics after reportedly using foul language towards a female referee, Jenna Renaud.

Sengun, who seemed frustrated during the game, expressed his displeasure with Renaud’s decision while trying to establish his position in the paint. This incident followed his comments made after the Rockets’ win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Following the ejection, Sengun mentioned that he had reached out to Renaud to apologize. “Sometimes you can’t control yourself, but I should have known better,” he reflected. He further added, “I went to the locker room, apologized, and let her know that such behavior would not happen again. It was just one of those moments, and she understood.” It seems they were able to move past the incident, which is always a good outcome.

As for the potential repercussions, it remains unclear whether the league will take any disciplinary action against him. Recently, he was named as a substitute for the upcoming All-Star Game, alongside Kevin Durant, highlighting his significant role in the Rockets’ season.

This season, Sengun has been impressive, starting 44 games while averaging 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1 block per game. It’s noteworthy that this marks his second selection as an All-Star, which is a real accomplishment.

The Rockets recently faced the Thunder, securing a win that improved their season record to 32-19. They currently sit in fourth place in the Western Conference, trailing the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
