Jewelry Store Owner Considers Moving After Series of Break-Ins in Los Angeles

In a troubling turn of events, the owner of a jewelry store in California is contemplating relocating after a recent break-in marked the third robbery in just six months. This incident has amplified fears among local business owners regarding safety in the area.

The latest robbery took place early Saturday morning at Nafice Jewelers on Ventura Boulevard. Surveillance footage captured a man breaking in through the roof and stealing around $100,000 worth of jewelry in less than ten minutes.

“It’s time to leave L.A. LA has changed,” co-owner Touraj Nezafati expressed, highlighting a growing sense of insecurity among business owners.

The store’s woes are not new; it was first targeted six months ago. Since that initial event, Nezafati and his family have faced relentless harassment and even two home invasions. “We’re even afraid to go outside,” he revealed. “What if we get robbed on the way? What if someone puts a gun to our head and says, ‘Go back to the store and open the safe?'” Such fears are difficult to ignore.

Reportedly, the suspect appeared well-prepared, having set up cameras outside the store and knowing exactly how to enter and where to look for valuables.

Nezafati further explained the methods used by the intruder, noting that he climbed in through the roof, carefully navigating a significant drop before making his way through the store. Interestingly, the suspect did not wear gloves or attempt to conceal his face, making it seem even more brazen.

Amid this climate of fear, Nezafati said that his family might be forced to shut the business down or move to a different area due to ongoing safety concerns. The increasing crime rate has significantly impacted their sense of security, prompting serious discussions about their future in Los Angeles.
