Tragic Incident Involving 49ers Defensive End Keon White

Keon White, a defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers, was fatally shot at a nightclub shortly after the 2026 Super Bowl. Recent reports indicate that this unfortunate event may involve rapper Lil Baby.

A police report has confirmed that an argument broke out between White and Lil Baby on Monday morning at the Mission Street Nightclub in San Francisco. It was during a private party that White was shot by an unknown individual, as detailed by the San Francisco Standard.

Witnesses stated that Lil Baby attempted to enter a private gathering hosted by White. An altercation escalated, leading to White being shot in front of many attendees, including strippers present at the event.

As the situation grew tense, one witness went upstairs to alert the manager but then heard two gunshots, with one bullet hitting White in the left leg. By 4:06 a.m. ET, police had arrived to investigate, only to find a chaotic scene with dollar bills strewn across the floor while topless women cleaned up.

“When I walked in, there were several women picking up money scattered everywhere,” read a quote from the police report. “Some appeared to be adult entertainers.”

The report also noted that White was not cooperating with officers who came to assist him after the shooting. Currently, he is getting treatment at a local hospital, while Lil Baby has yet to make any public comments about what occurred.

The Seahawks triumphed over the Patriots 29-13 at Levi’s Stadium, the home of the 49ers, during the Super Bowl event.

White had initially been drafted by the Patriots in the second round during the 2023 NFL Draft. After playing two full seasons with New England, he was released in 2025. Subsequently, the Patriots traded White, along with a conditional seventh-round pick for 2026, to San Francisco in exchange for a sixth-round pick. While at the 49ers, he participated in two playoff games, recording 1.5 sacks during the regular season.
