Disappearance of Nancy Guthrie: Key Evidence Emerges

The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who went missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, has entered its second week, and investigators may have uncovered crucial evidence regarding her disappearance.

Images reveal droplets of blood on the ground near her front door and driveway, painting a troubling picture of the circumstances surrounding her vanishing. Forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden commented that the bloodstains suggest she may have suffered injuries on her hands or face. “The blood’s shape and small pale center show typical signs from the nose or mouth, possibly indicating she was coughing up blood or had a runny nose,” he explained. He also noted that it could be a result of an injury, hinting at a more serious situation.

Footage from a Ring camera shows a vehicle central to the investigation, which law enforcement is reportedly examining closely.

DNA testing has confirmed that the blood droplets are indeed Nancy’s. Baden mentioned that the nature of these droplets indicates she was likely bleeding while moving from her porch to the driveway. “The blood’s presence during her apparent kidnapping isn’t indicative of a simple accident,” he added. Instead, it hints at a more chaotic scenario.

Lately, as investigation progresses, it has been pointed out that the splatters appear to confirm she was in distress during the abduction. “These droplets tell a story; they are far from harmless and occurred in a very specific context,” Baden stated.

Nancy was last seen at home in the early hours of Sunday, February 1, and was reported missing after she failed to join a church livestream later that day.

The FBI continues to seek assistance from the public, offering a $50,000 reward for information that may lead to her recovery. They encourage anyone with knowledge to reach out by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI.

As of now, no suspects or arrests have been publicly named in this case, leaving many questions unanswered as the search continues.
