Bill O’Reilly Suggests Trump Focus on Tim Walz and Jacob Frey for Insurrection

O’Reilly Calls for Charges Against Minnesota Officials

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly recently suggested that President Donald Trump should consider sedition charges against Minnesota’s Democratic Governor Tim Walz and Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

On his No Spin News show, O’Reilly remarked that Trump should target Walz and Frey “once tensions subside” following the January shooting deaths of Alex Preti and Renee Good. Meanwhile, Border Czar Tom Homan announced the conclusion of Operation Metro Surge, indicating that thousands of federal workers would soon be leaving Minnesota.

“If I were president, I would go after Walz and Frey, the mayors of Minneapolis,” O’Reilly stated. He emphasized the need to wait for calmer circumstances but expressed his belief that pursuing charges for insurrection could be justified. “It’s perhaps a gamble, I might not win, but I think it’s worth it. After all, Walz was almost vice president!”

O’Reilly also laid blame for the shootings on Frey, stating that the mayor’s lack of action contributed to the deaths of Preti and Good. He claimed, “If Frey had collaborated with local police to protect the ICE agents, those two might still be alive. It was his duty to ensure public safety.”

Federal authorities have publicly voiced their concerns over the absence of local support needed to control the violence that escalated after the tragic events involving Good and Preti.

On January 15, President Trump had threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act if local officials did not ensure the protection of federal employees, though he ultimately refrained from taking that step.

Moreover, Minnesota officials, alongside leaders from Minneapolis and St. Paul, filed a lawsuit on January 12 aiming to limit ICE operations in the state. Both Walz and Frey had urged ICE personnel to cease their activities.

“Get out of Minneapolis,” Frey demanded at a press conference following the Good shooting on January 7. Initially, he had stated in an interview that the police would not collaborate with ICE operations. In a significant statement, Walz compared ICE’s actions to a Nazi occupation, voicing his support for anti-ICE protests and encouraging Minnesotans to document their operations.
