McDonald’s Valentine’s Day Offer Sparks Interest but Quickly Sold Out
Recently, McDonald’s rolled out a unique promotion for Valentine’s Day, offering complimentary luxury items. However, many loyal customers found themselves unable to take advantage of it.
Starting February 10th, the fast-food chain began providing McNugget caviar kits, which included premium sturgeon caviar and crème fraîche, available through select websites. But just moments after the promotional items went live, the website crashed, announcing that all kits had been claimed.
“Unfortunately, our McNugget Caviar is no longer available in stores this Valentine’s Day,” said a notice on the website.
Some users expressed their disappointment online, with one asking, “Please, please, I want some McNugget caviar. What is this?” Another commented, concerned about the site being overwhelmed and then showing the items sold out.
In light of the frenzy, many content creators and McDonald’s enthusiasts were driven to sample the kits. However, McDonald’s did not offer any kits to Fox News Digital for further review.
Content creator Samiya Jakubowitz, who received a kit, described the flavor combination as “really balanced.” She noted that the McNuggets provide a nostalgic crunch while the caviar adds a salty, textural element. “It’s extravagant but playful. It’s silly, but it’s effective,” she remarked.
Jakubowitz even encouraged her friends to experiment by trying caviar and crème fraîche on other McDonald’s items, suggesting it could also enhance cheeseburgers and Filet-O-Fish sandwiches. She even threw in a recommendation for McDonald’s sweet and sour sauce, emphasizing, “I hope you try it before you judge.”
In a fun twist, she also tested McDonald’s fries topped with caviar and whipped cream, calling the combination “savory and delicious.” “French fries soak up the cream, and the caviar adds a little pop,” she added.
This isn’t just a McDonald’s trend, either. Jakubowitz mentioned that several restaurants have started offering similar pairings of chicken tenders and caviar. If it’s within reach, she encourages everyone to consider giving it a shot. “If you like little new moments, it’s worth giving it a try just for the experience,” she said, underscoring the fun aspect of the whole endeavor.
