Jason Aldean's harsh 7-word response to Zach Bryan after 'cringe' halftime comment

Jason Aldean reacted to Zach Bryan’s ongoing criticism following Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show. Bryan directed his remarks at Aldean and Brantley Gilbert, who performed “Dirt Road Anthem” during the event on February 8.

In response, Bryan shared a video featuring himself and Harley Carmichael singing a parody of Gilbert’s song, which Aldean covered in 2010 on “My Kinda Party.” Gilbert took the jab in stride, posting a video of himself eating a chili dog, in reaction to Bryan’s satirical lyrics about hot dogs.

Gilbert wrote, “@ZachLaneBryan you can climb the fence all you want. You’re not going to get my chili dog,” referring to a moment when Bryan was seen climbing a fence after an argument with Gavin Adcock, another country singer.

Aldean humorously commented on Bryan’s parody, saying, “That’s the best song I’ve ever heard from that guy.” This exchange came after Bad Bunny performed at Super Bowl LX, where Bryan had initially criticized TPUSA’s halftime show on Instagram.

He stated, “What Kid Rock is actually thinking about is what’s happening all over America,” according to a report from Whiskey Riff. A video shared by Bryan showed a friend watching the TPUSA performance on his phone, while Bad Bunny’s show played in the background.

Bryan also shared a message from a follower who expressed disappointment, saying, “You sold out to a Hollywood movie in no time. You were my favorite artist. Now you’re just an idiot and an out-of-touch elitist.” Bryan replied, “I don’t care what side you’re on. A bunch of adults throwing tantrums and having their own halftime show is the most embarrassing and disgusting thing on the planet.”

The show featured performances by Gilbert, Kid Rock, Lee Bryce, and Gabby Barrett and streamed on YouTube concurrently with Bad Bunny’s halftime show.

Fans were quick to voice their discontent with Bryan’s comments. One wrote, “Where did your patriotism go?” while another remarked on his absence from both the Super Bowl and the Turning Point halftime show. Another fan added, “LOL, get over your jealousy of Kid Rock!”
