Epstein’s Troubling Obsession with Ex-Girlfriend’s Daughter
Newly released Justice Department documents indicate that Jeffrey Epstein had an unsettling fixation on the daughter of his ex-girlfriend, aspiring to make her his teenage bride.
Selina Dubin, who is now a doctor in New York City educated at Harvard, had Epstein in her life since childhood, growing closer to him over the years.
At 30, Dubin is the child of Eva Dubin, a former Miss Sweden and a 1980 Miss Universe runner-up, and she is married to billionaire Glenn Dubin.
Reports describe how Epstein told friends in 2014 that Serena, then 19, was the only person he desired to marry.
Documents reveal the depth of Epstein’s obsession. He referred to Serena as his “goddaughter.”
Two years post his conviction for soliciting minors for prostitution, Eva invited him over while Serena was hosting friends.
Eva reached out to Epstein in 2010 needing him to visit, mentioning that Serena would have friends over.
Having dated Epstein for roughly 11 years from the early 1980s to early 1990s, Eva also brought him to support Serena during a lacrosse match in 2012.
Epstein expressed delight over the game, recalling it fondly in a message to Serena.
Selina and Epstein reportedly shared hundreds of messages, and she felt familiar enough to call him “Uncle F.”
In 2010, just after his prison release, a then-15-year-old Selina texted him about her day.
Epstein embraced the nickname and made donations under it, even during dubious circumstances.
In 2011 while in Paris, he agreed to buy her clothing he deemed “sexy.”
Selina asked for specific items, and Epstein quickly responded favorably.
Utilizing his connections, Epstein facilitated Selina’s aspirations of modeling and later her entry into medical school.
In 2011, she queried Epstein about organizing another photoshoot with notable contacts.
An attempt to arrange a modeling shoot with Jean-Luc Brunel for Serena, who was only 17, was made by Epstein in 2012.
Brunel, a colleague of Epstein’s, later faced serious legal issues, including accusations of rape.
Although she didn’t become a model, Serena achieved recognition at Harvard University post entry in 2013, again thanks to Epstein.
Documents show Epstein’s continued affection for Serena even during their separation, including a collection of personal items labeled “Serena Photos.”
He even curated a Spotify playlist titled “Serena,” featuring popular songs by major artists.
Serena became a beneficiary of Epstein’s trust in 2014 along with his brother, though she was later removed for reasons left unclear.
Reportedly, Epstein mentioned his intention to marry Serena partly for inheritance considerations. The trust he managed held $127 million in assets as of September 2024, following disbursements to victims totaling over $125 million.
