Carmen Electra’s Secrets to Lasting Romance

Carmen Electra recently shared her insights on maintaining a vibrant relationship during an interview at the 7th Annual Jam for Johnny Grammy Awards Party. The actress, who is now 53, emphasized the importance of both personal fulfillment and connection with a partner. “You definitely want to keep that glow,” she noted, adding that being with the person you love is crucial to sustaining that sparkle.

She continued, “I like people who appreciate the spirit of the individual, who embrace life and aren’t a downer. My preference? Artists. Anyone with a passion for their art is appealing.” Electra, well-known for her high-profile relationships, has quite the romantic history.

In the early 1990s, she became romantically linked with Prince, who not only discovered her talents but also helped launch her music career. The two had a brief relationship, during which he gave her the name Carmen Electra. Their time together ended amicably.

Electra gained significant media attention for her whirlwind marriage to NBA star Dennis Rodman in the late ’90s. Their union lasted just nine days before they filed for annulment, but the pair had a brief reconciliation before finalizing their divorce in 1999.

In the following decade, she experienced a more serious relationship with Dave Navarro from Jane’s Addiction. The couple married in 2003 and even appeared together on a reality show, but eventually separated in 2006, with their divorce finalized the following year.

Post-Dave, Electra dated Rob Patterson and got engaged in 2008, but they never made it to the altar and split in 2012. Over the years, she’s also been linked to various celebrities, including Tommy Lee and Simon Cowell.

Recently, Electra revealed in an interview that she is currently single but open to dating in the near future. “I really dislike liars,” she shared, reflecting on the qualities she values in a partner. “When I’m really into someone, it makes all the difference. Once you’ve tasted that connection, it’s hard to forget.” Electra noted that she’s learned to embrace romance more, thanks to her time with Navarro.

She mentioned that her confidence in her 50s stems from her continuous effort to be the best version of herself. “I’m a Taurus,” she said. “Some might say I’m stubborn. But I love life, food, and people. I’m just passionate about everything!”

In a nostalgic turn, Electra recently donned her iconic red swimsuit from “Baywatch” for a photoshoot, stating, “I wanted to relive that moment. I think 2026 is going to be a fantastic year, so, why not?”

She also expressed openness to participating in the new “Baywatch” reboot that was announced, although she hasn’t received any offers yet.

Looking ahead, Electra teased a new collaboration with Denise Richards for Valentine’s Day on OnlyFans. They mentioned it as an exciting venture, sharing that their chemistry was excellent during filming.

Electra’s experience with OnlyFans has been liberating; she views it as an opportunity to control her creative expression without external limitations. “For the first time, I really felt like my own boss,” she said.

With her lively personality and candidness, Carmen Electra continues to shine in both her personal and professional life.
