Cardi B Falls During Las Vegas Concert
Cardi B, the 33-year-old rapper, had an eventful night during her performance in Las Vegas on Friday. While singing “Thotiana” at T-Mobile Arena, she unexpectedly fell backward from her chair but managed to keep her rhythm.
A clip shared online shows Cardi standing up, gesturing toward the chair, and amusingly telling the audience, “That was the government.”
Following the incident, she raised a few eyebrows with her remarks about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) while kicking off her tour in Southern California. “If ICE comes here, they’ll jump,” she joked, earning loud applause from the crowd. “Hmm, there’s a bear mace in the back,” she added, hinting at tensions with authorities.
Later, she performed her popular track “I Like It,” featuring J. Balvin and Bad Bunny.
DHS, seemingly unfazed, released a statement to emphasize that unless Cardi engaged in illegal activities, they viewed her past behavior in a more positive light.
In a humorous twist with a hint of drama, Cardi shared a GIF of Dr. Evil, remarking, “I planned this,” after the government faced another shutdown amidst budget issues.
Interestingly, the rapper has recently kept a low profile regarding politics, despite her previous involvement in Kamala Harris’s campaign. “You know why I’ve been quiet about politics?” she stated. “I know that people are watching my stuff; the White House is listening to me.” She expressed her frustration about the political landscape and the challenges many face today.
Cardi’s “Little Miss Drama Tour” kicked off last week in Southern California, supporting her second studio album, “Am I the Drama?” She announced 35 tour dates, indicating an exciting time ahead for her fans.
