Paige Spiranac discusses her break from social media.

Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has amassed over 4 million followers on Instagram and 1.1 million on TikTok, but her posting frequency has decreased recently. In a Q&A session on Instagram last week, Spiranac revealed she’s been less active on social media. Her latest Instagram post dates back to January 26, while her last TikTok video was posted on October 24. She mentioned feeling like she’s been in a “bit of a funk” lately.

“…and it’s not just a day or two,” she shared on her Instagram Story. “This has been going on for a while. I think I’ve been overthinking everything and just trying to get through it. I’ve felt my anxiety is taking over, so that’s probably why I haven’t posted much.” She’s aiming to break free from this feeling and return to her previous posting habits, saying, “I feel like I’ve been inactive because I’m just in my head and in this funky rut.” Spiranac expressed that she feels misunderstood by her audience and others.

Her recent struggles have kept her away from golf, but she hopes to develop a more fun-focused golf series soon. A little while ago, she did share a new hairstyle on her social media accounts.

Spiranac took a break following a cheating scandal that occurred during a golf influencer tournament, during which she received a significant amount of death threats. In November, she mentioned she had endured “tens of thousands” of threats since the championship game. Reflecting on this, she said, “The last week and a half has probably been the worst hate I’ve received in the 10 years I’ve been doing this… People telling me to kill myself. That’s the most vile, horrifying thing I could ever say to an individual who was in my DMs to the point where we were discussing the possibility of a restraining order against me.”

“So this is a serious issue. It’s not easy, and it hasn’t been easy,” she concluded.
