A British traveler recently lost his temper at the airport, being filmed as he caused chaos at a check-in kiosk and was later arrested.
According to reports from Viral Press, the individual had secured a plane ticket before the incident occurred.
This wild scene unfolded at Hong Kong International Airport on a Monday morning, where a bald man went on a spree, toppling self-service check-in machines one after the other.
Airport officials commented that security personnel promptly responded to the situation, advising the man to stop his destructive behavior while also calling the police.
The reason behind this outburst remains unclear, leading to multiple kiosks being damaged and long lines forming as a result.
At 35, the man didn’t just knock down machines; he also picked up a metal pole and started striking one of the fallen kiosks, leaving bystanders in disbelief.
Overall, reports indicate that he damaged around 10 machines, along with metal barriers, counters, and glass panels during his rampage.
The scene certainly drew attention given how chaotic it was.
In an effort to deescalate the situation, airport staff and security quickly arrived and cautioned him against causing further destruction.
Subsequently, officers apprehended the man and initiated an inquiry into his disruptive actions.
Upon his arrest, he was reportedly found with four unprescribed Viagra tablets, which adds more complications to his situation.
If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison for criminal damage and potentially another two years for illegal possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities have yet to disclose the man’s identity, and the reason for his actions is still a mystery. Local reports indicate he entered Hong Kong in November on a six-month visa.
This incident isn’t the first of its kind, as others have also exhibited violent behavior at airports lately. For instance, in December, disturbances occurred at Kansas City International Airport during New Year’s celebrations, where travelers threatened staff and used offensive language.
