Hillary Clinton Clashes With Reporter Over Connections to Epstein and Maxwell

Clinton Denies Ties to Epstein in BBC Interview

In a recent interview with the BBC, Hillary Clinton dismissed allegations of any connections between herself, her husband Bill Clinton, and the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, along with his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The interview was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday.

When BBC correspondent Jessica Parker brought up Epstein’s associations with the Clintons and Maxwell, Clinton did not directly answer the question about whether she regretted any connection. Instead, she urged Parker to repeat the question. “We have no connection,” she stated, explaining, “We have a clear record of being willing to talk. My husband has flown several times for charity work, and I have no recollection of meeting him.”

Parker followed up, asking if Clinton had ever met Maxwell. Responding, Clinton said, “I’ve been there a few times, and thousands of people have joined the Clinton Global Initiative. To me, that’s not what this issue is about. They’ve been accused and in both cases convicted of horrific crimes against girls and women. That’s where the focus should be.”

CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski provided additional context on Twitter, indicating that Maxwell attended the Clinton Global Initiative event as a guest of honor for her ocean charity in 2013. He highlighted that this was several years after public accusations against her for assisting Epstein in abusing minors. Kaczynski also referenced that Maxwell was present at the wedding of Chelsea Clinton in 2010.

Moreover, a photo was released by the Department of Justice showing a shirtless Bill Clinton with Maxwell at a pool. In her interview, Hillary Clinton explained that this photo was part of an effort to promote charity, stating it was taken “long before there was public awareness of any criminal conviction by Jeffrey Epstein.”

The Clintons are expected to testify before the House Oversight Committee regarding the Epstein investigation after initially refusing several subpoenas. Bill Clinton’s testimony is scheduled for February 27, while Hillary Clinton is set to appear on February 26, according to the BBC.

As of now, the Clinton Foundation has not responded to inquiries from the Daily Caller News Foundation regarding this matter.
