Nancy Guthrie suspected kidnapping situation: Online searches for her home address

TUCSON, Ariz. – Concerns Surrounding Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance

It appears that there was a notable interest in locating Nancy Guthrie’s home address just weeks ahead of her alleged kidnapping, as suggested by Google Trends data.

Nancy is the mother of Savannah Guthrie, co-host of the Today show, who has been missing for 18 days following her abduction from her Tucson, Arizona, residence.

Recently, the FBI shared a description of a person captured on doorbell camera footage relating to the case. This individual—believed to be involved—was seen on February 1 and is described as roughly 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, sporting a 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack and other recognizable gear.

The investigation by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI continues. Reports suggest that there were peculiar Google searches made for both Nancy’s address and details regarding Savannah’s salary prior to her disappearance.

Specifically, data reveals that Nancy’s address was searched in the Catalina Foothills by someone in Arizona between late June 2025 and again on January 11, 2026. Interestingly, this latter date aligns with a request sent via the Ring camera app on February 12, asking neighbors to submit any video footage from that day, particularly from the evening hours when Nancy was last seen.

In response to community interest, a captain from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department urged residents to consult verified information from the department when providing tips. Investigators are currently searching for home security footage taken within a two-mile radius of Nancy’s home during the first few days of February.

While no suspects have been publicly named, law enforcement has detained and later released several individuals, including a delivery driver from Rio Rico who, curiously, mentioned uncertainty about whether he had delivered to Nancy’s residence.

In further developments, there were two significant searches on Google for images of Nancy’s house in Arizona—one occurring between March 1 and 8, 2025, and another between November 30 and December 1 of the same year. Additionally, there was also interest in Savannah’s earnings, with searches in Tucson from December 13 to December 20, 2025, just before Nancy went missing.

To put things in perspective, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who spent his childhood in New York City, had one search for “Anderson Cooper salary” in that area back in 2025. Comparatively, Sean Hannity from FOX News, also raised in New York, saw a similar search for “Sean Hannity salary” between May 3 and May 10 of that same year.
