Allegations of 'Graphic' Demands Arise as Nancy Guthrie Case Expands Globally

Search for Nancy Guthrie Expands

The FBI has reached out to Mexican federal law enforcement in their ongoing efforts to locate Nancy Guthrie, as TMZ reported another alarming development on February 18th.

The news surfaced as the FBI broadened its search for Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, who was reported missing from her home on February 1st, more than two weeks ago. Allegedly, a fourth ransom note with new demands and threats was received, according to the outlet.

Harvey Levin from TMZ commented on the sophistication of these requests, mentioning they involve a form of cryptocurrency—not Bitcoin. He indicated that the note graphically outlines consequences for failing to meet the demands.

The recent ransom note purportedly requested the same $6 million as an earlier demand made shortly after Nancy’s disappearance.

Levin noted that this new email contained a different encrypted account number than the one shared with the FBI previously.

Reportedly, law enforcement officials believe that Guthrie might have been taken across the border, though they don’t think this happened immediately after her disappearance.

Authorities have examined Border Patrol cameras and other devices but reportedly found no obvious signs of Guthrie. Levin reminded viewers that there could be other methods used to transport her across the border to avoid detection.

Investigators have also tried to track down individuals who purchased gun holsters similar to the one worn by a masked figure seen in surveillance footage, but so far, they’ve come up short. They’re working with local retailers to identify anyone who might have bought clothing resembling what the masked person wore.

The FBI has issued a statement offering a reward of up to $100,000 for any information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s location or the arrest of those responsible for her disappearance. The suspect is described as a male, roughly 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build.

A law enforcement official expressed urgency, stating, “We’re shaking the trees,” to find leads in the investigation. Levin emphasized the FBI’s warning that anyone attempting to make a false ransom demand would face severe legal repercussions.
