Kit Harington and Sophie Turner Reunite for New Horror Film
Fans of Game of Thrones might be thrilled to hear that Kit Harington and Sophie Turner are getting back together for a horror movie titled Terrible. However, this time, their roles will be a stark contrast to the siblings they portrayed on the HBO series; it seems they will take on the parts of lovers instead.
Both actors have openly acknowledged the unexpected awkwardness of acting as romantic interests. In fact, they described the filming of their kissing scenes as quite a challenge. Recent behind-the-scenes footage shared by Entertainment Tonight captures their playful discomfort during these moments.
The video shows Harington leaning in for a passionate kiss with Turner, who playfully pulls away until the director calls for a cut, prompting both of them to comically gag and pretend to throw up afterwards.
Turner recently discussed this unique experience on Seth Meyers’ Late Night. She recalled sending Harington the script, to which he replied, admitting it would be a “really weird” situation. “I was a bit puzzled by his reaction,” she noted. “But as I read through the script, I realized it included several intimate scenes, and then it hit me—I’m kissing my brother.”
She continues, reflecting on their first kiss scene, “We tried to brush it off, but once we were on set, it was awkward. Honestly, it felt pretty vile. It was just the worst.”
Terrible is set in the 15th century, featuring Turner as Ann, whose life takes a dramatic turn when a visitor arrives. The film also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Lawrence O’Ferline, and Jonathan Howard.
Harington confirmed to E! News that he found it a bit odd to accept his role, especially since it was Turner who introduced him to the project. “I felt strange about it,” he admitted. “But it was a great chance to work with her again. Although, I did have to stand on an apple box to reach her height for the kiss, which was slightly embarrassing.”
This marks the first time Harington and Turner have reunited since starring together in Game of Thrones from 2011 to 2019.
Terrible was released in theaters on February 20th.
